The sun always shines in Skopelos, well, most of the time so you won't need to check the weather forecast too often. Poseidon and Univ of Athens have accurate short term forecasts while the BBC and Yahoo  offer longer term views - up to 10 days ahead.

If you're making your own way here from UK then Easyjet is a good bet for cheap flights to Athens. Have a look at Milatos  for charter flights to anywhere in Greece, but particularly Skiathos - those that have used them say they are pretty good.

Hellenic Seaways run connecting coaches from the centre of Athens to Agios Konstandinos from where Flying Cat leaves on its two and a half hour trip.Check here  for their timetables and online booking to and from Ag Kon, Volos as well as Thessaloniki in the summer.

Madro Travel can arrange tickets on almost anything to anywhere, including island excusions. They offer a wide range of accommodation to let and their transport timetables are sometimes more accurate than the official ones !
